I don't have time right now to do a really top-flight job of this (maybe
next week) but here's my best shot right now. Alex plays the intro to The
Trees differently on Exit Stage Left than he does on the studio version
(duh!! :) I think the ESL version is much cooler, so that's the version I
always play when I'm screwing around with it (and it's the version I'm going
to play at the TabCon, especially since I'm playing Broon's Bane before it!!).

Anyhoo, here's my quick take on the ESL version, listed below the
Hemispheres version Jimmy just sent out.

Also, I'm confident in the beginning of the solo that the A and the B are
played open A and B (second fret, fifth string). One of the video tapes
shows Alex playing it this way, and that's the way I remember him playing it
on tour this summer.
